We’re wrapping up the first week of July and what better way than to show you how to create the perfect DIY Instagram swimsuit?! This month’s Create with Craftey post is inspired by the first thing I think of when I think of summer (after being thankful for the warmth)… THE BEACH! Growing up, my parents & I’s yearly summer tradition was a two-week beach trip to Garden City, South Carolina. Now that I live in Kansas, I’m probably as far from a beach as I’ll ever be. But, we all still need the perfect Instagram swimsuit, right? So, let’s use HTV to create the perfect Instagram swimsuit! I always love seeing bloggers show off their cute one-piece swimsuits (#instagrammable), but we all know that sometimes affordable swimsuits are hard to find! Or you find a cute one and then wonder who decided to put some weird phrase on there… Insert the perfect DIY Instagram swimsuit! Haha. That’s why I love this month’s project so much. I know I say that every month, but Y’ALL I CAN’T HELP IT. You can pick up a plain one-piece (or give a new life to that old one sitting in your drawer) and make it unique! HAPPY MAY! I type that in all caps because I survived my first April working in higher education and lemme tell y’all… it was no joke. Phew! Haha. Let’s talk about this month’s Create with Craftey post. How cute is this DIY “You Grow Girl” toddler tee?!?! For those who don’t know me, I currently do not have any children (just one big ol’ fur baby). I always forget how expensive children’s clothes can be! That’s why I love getting to work on designs that are perfect for repurposing older clothes or a plain toddler tee that you snag on sale! This month’s Create with Craftey DIY project is this cute planter! This would be the cutest addition to spruce up a potted plant (real or fake) you already own. I don’t know about you guys, but I could NOT be any happier that the spring has FINALLY arrived. This means that I have officially survived my first winter in Manhattan, Kansas (barely). It truly felt like it was never going to end. Eventually, it did. PHEW! Due to my personal celebration of the end of winter, I knew that I wanted to give you a design that was encouraging and spring-y (DUH… plants y’all). The sun is out. The weather is getting warmer every day and things are getting a little more green every day (slowly but surely). Therefore, if you had a rough winter like I did… I’m rootin’ for ya!!!
