Create with Craftey: “It’s Your Time To Bloom” DIY Mug

March turned into a pretty long month, but the first weekend of April is finally here! Although, Kansas could’ve fooled me because we had freezing rain last night. I know that we are functioning in uncertain waters right now, so I want to challenge you to take just a bit of time and focus on something that you enjoy and allows you to relax. For you, that might be something like painting, or running, or baking. If crafting is your escape, I hope that you can use this free hand-lettered SVG file to create something beautiful. If you want a step-by-step on how to create your own DIY mug, the team at Craftey has you covered. You can find the instructions by clicking here.

For this month, I wanted to do something spring-y, but also something inspirational during a time of such uncertainty. Thankfully, mugs aren’t seasonal… so a DIY mug is always a great idea! Haha. If you want more project ideas all accompanied by a free custom hand-lettered SVG file by me, check back at our previous monthly projects on my blog by checking out the Create with Craftey category.

Create with Craftey: DIY Matching Sweatshirts

Happy month of March! If you’re new here, the beginning of every month is when I post Create with Craftey‘s monthly project. For my momma friends, this month’s project is for YOU! How cute are these “Mommy & Me” sweatshirts?! If you’re like me and claim your fur-baby as your child, feel free to just make your own sweatshirt or slap this WONDERFUL reminder on whatever your heart desires. You can snag the free hand-lettered SVG file and learn how to create this yourself from the team over at Craftey by clicking here.

Our theme for this month was a general, but important one: kindness. When I was browsing and thinking of quotes that would be a versatile design, I knew this one was PERFECT. The simple truth that we should all be living by is to be a kind human. Some days that is easy, and other days, it might take a bit more reminding yourself that it’s the right thing (we all end up there some days). I can see this being perfect on SO many different projects and I can’t wait to see what you all use it for.

March has been off to an awesome start for me because the sun has been shining! WOOHOO! My fellow #WinterHaterz will understand how great it is when you get to start enjoying the outside world again. Haha! Although, some days in Kansas, I definitely still need to bundle up in the mornings. However, by the afternoon, I can get away with a sweatshirt. You can complete these DIY matching sweatshirts in SEVEN steps… Yep. Seven. Spoiler alert: step #7 is just to enjoy. If you need any of the supplies for this project, you can find them (and more) over at Craftey’s shop.

I hope that the month of March is good to you, ya kind human! Make sure to tag me and the team over at Craftey  on social media so that we can see what you create! If you aren’t following them already, you can find Craftey on their FacebookInstagram and Pinterest.

Until next time, stay bossy y’all!

Create with Craftey: DIY “Better Together” Pillow Cover

Better Together HTV placed on burlap pillow cover next to Cricut Easy Press

Happy November 1st! The colder weather means that I am spending time getting cozy on my couch and avoiding the Kansas winter. Haha! This month’s Create with Craftey project is creating a cozy DIY pillow cover using heat transfer vinyl. I’m sure y’all know the drill by now, but if you’re new here… You can snag November’s free hand-lettered SVG file and see the step-by-step process from the team at Craftey by clicking here.

Heat transfer vinyl in Cricut machine

November is an exciting month for me! If you’ve been around throughout 2019, you may know that Adam has been deployed for the majority of this year. November is the month that he will (fingers crossed) finally be coming home after hundreds of days apart! Deployment has been a crazy journey. It’s looked more like survival than it has anywhere close to thriving (and involves a lot of cereal for dinner). I remind myself that each day that passes is one day closer to him being home. Hugs to all my ladies (and gents) that have a partner in the military! You are not alone.

In last month’s post, I asked what your “go to” fall colors were. I still can’t get enough of these fall colors y’all! Searching for a specific color? Check out Craftey’s shop! The options are endless. This month’s project features their Color Chimp Flock heat transfer vinyl in Bordeaux.

Heat transfer vinyl is so much fun. These blogs have been the highlights of each month that has passed this year! It is so rewarding to watch our projects come to life and to watch the beautiful things that we can create. What is YOUR favorite part about crafting? Are you a lover of heat transfer vinyl? Or, do you prefer traditional vinyl projects? I don’t discriminate! I think they’re all fun. I just love any excuse to watch a vision come together piece-by-piece.

I hope that your November is off to a great start. I can’t wait to see what you create using November’s free hand-lettered SVG file. Don’t forget to tag both Craftey and myself on social media when you show off your newest project! If you aren’t following them already, you can find Craftey on their FacebookInstagram and Pinterest.

Create with Craftey: DIY Fall Tea Towel

Part of me can’t believe that it is October and the other part of me is like “FINALLY!!!” It is already starting to cool down here in Kansas, which really puts me in FULL fall mode. This month’s Create with Craftey project is this super cute DIY fall tea towel. You can download October’s free hand-lettered SVG file and as always the amazing team over at Craftey is going to take you through the step-by-step process to create this yourself by clicking here.

What’re your “go to” fall colors? A super deep red or burgundy (like the one that we have used for the top portion of this month’s design) is one of my favorites! I also LOVE a deep olive green. I can’t wait to see what colors you use on your own DIY fall tea towel! If you’re needing a specific color of heat transfer vinyl, just check out Craftey’s shop! They have SO many options.

Tis the season to be fall-y HTV on tea towel
