Boss Source Saturday: MJ Creative Co

The whole name behind Bossy Brushstrokes comes from a business perspective and being a boss. There’s often a negative connotation and I know that because I hear it in every leadership class I’ve taken- “Be a leader. Not a boss.” and while I do agree to some extent, why not change the way a boss is looked at? Why not look at it as wanting to change how somebody looks at you as a boss? Or how you look at yourself because, let’s be real, the most important person you’re the boss of is YOURSELF. Anyway, I want to do a new little series that will be on-going. This series, as of now, is called “Boss Source Saturday.” It won’t be every Saturday but once a month, on a Saturday, I’m going to feature a fellow creator that I admire and want to share with my followers. I want to use it as a way to compliment somebody who I think works hard and who’s work I enjoy, for whatever reason that may be.

So for this week, meet MJ Creative Co or Mariah. A sweet gal from Wisconsin who created a side hustle based on her passion. This girl works FULL-TIME and continues to dedicate her free-time to MJ Creative Co which is her brand. You can check her out Instagram or scroll through her work on her website here. It gets better.. This week she launched her Etsy! I won’t give you her life story because you’ll have to visit her website to hear more about her (have you clicked yet? I’m waiting)!

When I was creating this website, she reached out to me via DM and was SO much help. She let me annoy her with no problem which meant so much coming from such a talented lady (because we know talent is WAY better when the talented person is also the sweetest person). I love that so many in this community REALLY live the phrase “Community > Competition.” So please, please, follow her and check out all of the links I’ve put in this post because she deserves all of the recognition I can give her. So keep being bossy, MJ Creative Co!!
