Create with Craftey: “Created to Create” DIY Phone Case Using Vinyl

How’s your summer going so far?! I am so happy that it is June! I love the summertime and the sunshine. These blogs are my favorite part of the month, so it’s time to share June’s Create with Craftey post. Who else feels most themselves when they get to see what they create? That was my inspiration this month with this FREE hand-lettered SVG file. Plus, how cute is this DIY phone case?! We’re using vinyl to customize a simple phone case! As always, you can download it for yourself and see the step-by-step instructions on how to complete this month’s project by checking out Craftey’s blog post.

Applying transfer tape to vinyl

Not only did they give you the step-by-step instructions, but they also made a video showing you how to make this DIY phone case for yourself! You can watch that video below.

I think this design is so versatile and that’s why I can’t wait to see what y’all make with it. Plus, isn’t it so smart to place it INSIDE of the phone case to protect the vinyl from your daily life?! This is why I love Craftey so much y’all because they always give the best tips that I wouldn’t have thought of myself. Speaking of tips, have you checked out their community yet?

Create with Craftey: DIY Motivational Sweatshirt

Let’s kick off 2019 with a Create with Craftey design. If you haven’t seen this series before, it’s where the team over at Craftey sponsors a new hand-lettered SVG file every month that they give to you guys for FREE along with the instructions to complete your own DIY project. You can download January’s design here.

Who loves a comfy sweatshirt? Meeee! This month’s project is perfect because glitter + motivation + sweatshirt = YES, PLEASE. Along with their blog post this month, they made a super handy video that walks you through the process. If you’re wanting to see the video, just click here. I love little projects like this because you can use a sweatshirt that you already own and make it into something new. If you’re loving the glitter HTV, you can find exactly what they use here.

You know the deal, we want to see what you make with this month’s design. Don’t forget to tag Craftey and myself on social media. If you aren’t following them already, you can find Craftey on their FacebookInstagram and Pinterest.

Until next time, stay bossy y’all!

Craftey: A Community for Vinyl Crafters + a FREE hand-lettered SVG file

I am so excited that Craftey has reached out and sponsored a custom hand-lettered piece to give to their followers FOR FREE! Craftey is a brand-new online community and is a place you can go to fulfill your vinyl crafting obsession. If you’re wondering about supplies, maybe you’re needing some inspiration or if you just need friendship- you can find all of that in the Craftey community.

Before there was ever Bossy Brushstrokes, there was a girl with a vinyl cutting machine. I got it years ago and have used it on so many projects from decorating cups, making homemade gifts, sprucing up my old t-shirts, and (my personal favorite) decorating my college graduation cap! When the very sweet Ms. Katie (the community manager over at Craftey) reached out to me about sponsoring a post, I got so excited because I have been waiting to combine my new love for lettering with my old love of crafting with vinyl.

You can grab the design you see above in SVG form FOR FREE from their post here so that you can use it yourself to put on whatever your heart desires. Katie put it on a canvas pouch as you can see above and it is absolutely AMAZING! I am so excited to see what else you guys can come up with.

Thank you again Craftey for sponsoring this post and for partnering together to share something so great with our followers! Go check out their Instagram, Facebook, or Pinterest (or all three) and start building the community y’all. It starts with YOU joining in on the fun!!

Till next time. Stay bossy.
