Placing pink heat transfer vinyl on a Cricut mat.

For those who don’t know me, I currently do not have any children (just one big ol’ fur baby). I always forget how expensive children’s clothes can be! That’s why I love getting to work on designs that are perfect for repurposing older clothes or a plain toddler tee that you snag on sale! You get to make things your own and I get to give you this cute design to empower your little girl with your own DIY “You Grow Girl” toddler tee. Wooooo! Shoutout to heat transfer vinyl.

You can snag one here (for less than $5) from Craftey (along with anything else you may need to complete the vinyl projects of your dreams.

I don’t know about you guys, but I could NOT be any happier that the spring has FINALLY arrived. This means that I have officially survived my first winter in Manhattan, Kansas (barely). It truly felt like it was never going to end. Eventually, it did. PHEW! Due to my personal celebration of the end of winter, I knew that I wanted to give you a design that was encouraging and spring-y (DUH… plants y’all). The sun is out. The weather is getting warmer every day and things are getting a little more green every day (slowly but surely). Therefore, if you had a rough winter like I did… I’m rootin’ for ya!!!

Create with Craftey: DIY “Kindness Matters” Embroidery Hoop

Kindness matters. Short, simple, and the truth. It can be so easy to get lost in our day-to-day lives and sometimes we forget just how far kindness can go. That’s why I am so excited to give you guys this month’s Create with Craftey blog where you get a FREE hand-lettered SVG file + DIY project sponsored by the amazing folks over at Craftey. You can download this month’s free SVG file and learn how to make this cute embroidery hoop step-by-step over on their blog.

This photo shows a hand that is feeding in purple vinyl on a cutting mat into a Cricut. There are miscellaneous Cricut tools and an embroidery hoop in the background of the image.

This month’s design is so versatile because it could work on just about anything. I mean, who doesn’t need this reminder in the early morning when you’re grumpy and getting out of bed? Slap it on a cup. Stick it on a mug. Put it on a t-shirt. The possibilities are endless (shout out to vinyl crafting for being allowing us to personalize just about anything). However, this project is especially perfect for those of us who lack the sewing skills necessary to make our own DIY embroidery hoop. Don’t forget that if you’re needing vinyl to complete this, or any of your other projects, that Craftey has got you covered.

This photo shows vinyl that has been weeded to say "Kindness Matters" with a heart below it. You can see a Cricut machine on the left and an embroidery hoop on the right.

I can’t wait to see how your DIY embroidery hoop comes out or how else you guys use this free hand-lettered SVG file.
