Okay so it’s been quite a while since I did my very first Boss Source Saturday feature so it’s time for another one. This time featuring @ThePaperFern on Instagram who recenetly launched her Etsy… Yaaaasss girl!!!
Fernanda has been there with Bossy Brushstrokes since the beginning (as well as the rest of the Letter It Better crew). She has always taken time to comment and interact from when I had almost no followers to still commenting on recent videos I’ve posted about how much she loves them. She is the sweetest soul so I just had to share her new Etsy shop, The Paper Fern Co, on my blog. I asked her a few questions and here are her answers:
Question 1: Why and when did you start lettering?
“I bought my first set of Tom-bows back in 2015- but I didn’t know what I was doing back then! I really got serious with it at the beginning of 2017. I started because I followed a lot of lettering accounts on Instagram and was mesmerized by their work- I wanted to be a part of the community and learn from all the awesome artists on there.”
Question 2: What pushed you to start your own shop?
“I always wanted to open one but was too afraid I wasn’t “good” enough- but I found a super encouraging community here on Instagram and made friends who have supported me and helped me feel like maybe I am “good” enough (whatever that means haha!). So you could say that my friends on here pushed me to follow my dreams!”
Question 3: What is your favorite quote?
“Wherever you are, be all there.” – Jim Elliot
On her Etsy, you can find a few prints and varying types of envelope addressing! I’m sure this is only the beginning for her so if you don’t follow her on Instagram yet, go show her some love. Shout out to this fellow Lady Boss for killing it lately and for finally branching out and starting her little side hustle.
